Tryptophan HiVeg™ Medium is recommended for the detection of indole production.It is useful especially for the detection of indole production by Escherichia coli O157: H7, which is a key feature in differentiation of coliforms. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
