Lactic Streak HiVeg™ Agar (Twin Pack) is recommended for the qualitative and quantitative differentiation of lactic Streptococci.This medium was originally described by Reddy et al and further modified by Mullan and Walker. The medium is recommended by APHA for the differential enumeration of lactic streptococci. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
