Description
Decarboxylase HiVeg™ Broth Base, Moeller (Moeller Decarboxylase HiVeg™ Broth Base) is used for differentiating gram-negative enteric bacilli on the basis of their ability to decarboxylate amino acids. Amino acids such as L-Lysine, L-Arginine, L-Ornithine or other L-amino acids are added to this medium to study respective decarboxylation study. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE risks associated with animal peptones.
